The flowers are similar to the ones I made for our Spring Chalkboard Display. The colors are bright and bold. It’s exactly what my daughter wanted.
The frames were purchased at Michaels. They were already in a pretty blue so I didn’t have to change it. You could spray paint your frames to match any décor.
The background paper – a blue zebra print is also from Michaels. I debated between this bold zebra print and a small subtle floral print. My daughter loved the zebra pattern more. She made the right decision. I love the combination of the wild zebra pattern and the colorful felt flowers.
The materials I used to make our Easy Framed Flower Art were felt, scrapbook paper, flower embellishments, button embellishments, scissors, frames, hot glue gun and sticks.
I wanted the flowers to be colorful so I used many different colors of felt – light purple, dark purple, blue, green, and yellow. The colors match the bedding in my daughter’s room.
I cut out flower shapes in different sizes to layer.
I stacked and layered the felt flower shapes in various color combinations.
I glued them together. I added a flower embellishment and a button on top.
I cut the blue zebra print scrapbook paper to fit the frame.
I placed the paper in the frame. I glued the felt flower to the middle.
That’s it. The framed flower art is complete. I love easy and simple projects.
